Oracle Application Server Wireless, a component of Oracle Application Server, provides a comprehensive platform for extending Messaging to mobile devices. Messaging can be extended to Oracle Application server Wireless by connecting it to Vectramind’s Proximo gateway.

The two methods available to connect OracleAS Wireless with the Vectramind messaging gateway are
XMS web service and an SMPP service. Both use default drivers that ship with the OracleAS Wireless. Internet connection is a pre-requisite.

By registering an HTTP connection with vectramind you can get the application ready for messaging by using the Proximo XMS web service. Upon successful A/c creation, all the necessary A/c details along with a complete user guide will be provided to use this service.

XMS Web service: The XMS Web service is recommended for those only requiring mobile terminated text messaging. The Proximo XMS web service uses the Proximo HTTP API to connect to the Secure Proximo gateway.

SMPP:
The SMPP Service is suitable for high volume, two-way messaging. A simple A/c creation from Vectramind to use this service is all you require to get going.
